NFPA 90A Fire Safety Rated Labeling Material

Portland, OR - The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) developed a testing process called ASTM E-84, used by the NFPA to obtain "comparative measurements of surface flame spread and smoke density measurements." SafetyPro, a leader in industrial safety labeling is dedicated to providing customers with materials that meet these standards.

When it comes to NFPA 90A, the key is understanding how materials will act and react in hazardous conditions. SafetyPro vinyl has been fully tested according to ASTM E-84 standards, by an independant and properly authorized 3rd party testing firm, and has been shown to be compliant as a Class A NFPA 90A material. That means you can trust SafetyPro vinyl labeling tape wherever you want NFPA compliance.

    SafetyPro Vinyl for Plenum Spaces

Plenum spaces are areas in buildings that facilitate air circulation for HVAC systems. Space between structural ceilings and a dropped ceiling, or space underneath a raised floor is typically considered a plenum space. Wires and pipes run through these spaces, and must be rated properly. Labels that go on these wires and pipes should also be tested under NFPA 90A recommendations for maximum safety and compliance.

Part of the NFPA 90A rating that SafetyPro vinyl has includes testing for performance in case of a fire. When there is an emergency, such as a fire, the last thing you want is cheap labels that will rapidly spread flames. SafetyPro vinyl is NFPA Class A rated with a suitable flame spread index, and may be appropriately used even in tight spaces.
